Thank you so much for featuring my book here. It was a pleasure to be interviewed: your questions were very insightful and actually helped me crystallize some of my thoughts about the experience of writing. I will share one of the kindest comments I ever got about the book: one soldier's spouse told me her troop didn't write much but after reading about all the nitty gritty and humdrum detail of deployed life in my book, she actually was able to relax a little about his being far away because she could picture the place a little. Hi Debbie...I'm actually pretty far removed from anyone who is deployed. Although I have an inkling of things that are happening, I guess I was just naive in not knowing how bad it really is. This definitely helped me understand what's happening and I'm thankful for that.

Nice review. One thing that has surprised me is the number of reviews I've read for this book that make comments similar to your "This book will really open your eyes to what happens there on an almost daily basis."

I already knew what was going on even if not in the medical detail given in this book. I learned it from my deployed pen pals, which are troops of all sorts. However, with the number of people I know who have had friends or loved ones deployed, I'm surprised more people don't know. Ah, well. At least this book will help.
